Position Title: Quality Inspector
Department: Quality
Location: Chimbali, Pune
Reporting To: Quality Manager/ Plan Head

Position Summary:
To lead and ensure the implementation of robust quality systems across manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and ISO standards while driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, and process excellence
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Perform incoming material/ bought-out material, in-process, and final inspection of fabricated components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and quality specifications.
• Inspect welding quality, dimensional accuracy, fit-up, painting, labelling, and nameplate compliance
• Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, measuring tapes, and weld gauges.
• Possess sound knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.




• Identify and report non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and recheck reworked material.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP)
• Demonstrate good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and organized inspection area while following all safety procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
ITI /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
3– 5 years of relevant experience in Quality inspection in a fabrication, heavy engineering, or manufacturing industry.
Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of Quality Tools (7 QC Tools, RCA, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
• Understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001 preferred)
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel & documentation.
