Company Description Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) is the state-run tuberculosis (TB) control initiative of the Government of India, dedicated to reducing the burden of TB nationwide. Guided by the National Strategic Plan 2012–17, the program’s vision is to achieve a “TB-free India” through comprehensive prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services. RNTCP focuses on universal access to quality TB care, especially for vulnerable and underserved populations. The program collaborates with public and private health systems to implement standardized protocols and strengthen laboratory networks. Role Description The Laboratory Technician is a full-time, in office role based in Salem, supporting accurate and timely TB diagnosis within the RNTCP framework. The role involves performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, including microscopy and other TB diagnostic procedures, in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
The Laboratory Technician will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper sample collection, labeling, and storage, and assist with record-keeping and data entry related to test results. Daily responsibilities include adhering to quality control measures, maintaining cleanliness and biosafety in the laboratory, and coordinating with medical and program staff to support patient care and reporting requirements. The position requires consistent compliance with national guidelines and participation in training and supervision activities as needed.
