Job Description – Assistant Engineer

Position Details
Experience: 4-5 Years
Qualification: B.E. Civil / Diploma in Civil Engineering
Salary: ₹35,000 Gross/month (based on experience & ability)
Location: Chennai
Notice Period: 15–30 Days
Working Hours: 8:30 AM–6:30 PM; flexible for night shifts as required

Requirements
1. Experience in residential and small to mid-sized commercial building construction projects.
2.



Experience with a Civil Contractor or Architect's office is preferred.
3. Candidates with only Infrastructure/Industrial project experience will not be considered.
4. Must own a two-wheeler for site visits.
5. Basic knowledge of quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings and labour billing.
6. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
7. Resume must include complete project details (project type, name, size, role, etc.).
8. Stable employment history with no frequent job changes.
9. Added advantage: Experience in interior finishing works (tiling, flooring, painting, marble) and/or architect's office experience.

Key Responsibilities
Execute and supervise assigned site activities as per Project Head's instructions. Check safety, cleanliness, hygiene, material abuse and access.
Monitor Labor Attendance and Coordinate and Follow up with procurement team, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and labour to ensure timely availability of materials
