Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Mainframe technologies, PL/I or COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and IMS-DB.
The candidate will be responsible for application development, enhancement, maintenance, batch processing, database programming, troubleshooting, and production support. The role requires robust analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise mainframe applications.
Write and maintain programs using PL/I and/or COBOL.
Develop and maintain JCL jobs for batch processing.
Work extensively with DB2 databases and SQL.




Develop and optimize database queries and application programs.
Work with VSAM files and IMS-DB environments.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform application debugging and root-cause analysis.
Troubleshoot batch failures and production issues.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Support application releases and production deployments.
Prepare technical documentation for application changes.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and other developers.
Participate in modernization and enhancement initiatives where required.
