About the role
Architect for enterprise data and integration platforms. Owns HL7 v2.x / FHIR interfaces, Mirth Connect channels, RDBMS and cloud data platforms (MS SQL, Postgre SQL, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse / Fabric), event-driven backbones (Kafka / Event Hubs), and AI-grade data pipelines built on vector databases and RAG ingestion patterns.
Duties & Responsibilities
Own end-to-end integration architecture: HL7 v2.x, CCD/CDA, FHIR R4, REST, Graph QL, Kafka / Event Hubs. Lead Mirth Connect (Next Gen) channel design, transformers, filters and monitoring. Design and maintain MS SQL Server (with Always On) and Postgre SQL schemas, indexes, stored procedures and partitioning strategies. Architect cloud data platforms on Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse / Microsoft Fabric. Design AI-grade pipelines: chunking, embeddings, vector stores (pgvector, Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate) and RAG ingestion. Define data quality, deduplication, master data and identity-resolution rules. Orchestrate onboarding of new interfaces and data sources. Ensure security, audit,



PII/PHI and data-protection compliance across all flows. SKILLS & ABILITIES
Robust data modeling and SQL performance tuning (MS SQL mandatory; Postgre SQL preferred). Deep HL7 v2.x and CCD/CDA experience; working FHIR R4 expertise. Hands-on Mirth Connect (Next Gen) channel and transformer development. Experience with cloud data platforms: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse / Fabric. Hands-on with Kafka / Event Hubs and event-driven design. Working knowledge of vector databases and RAG ingestion patterns. POTENTIAL BACKGROUND
Bachelor's in CS / Engineering or related (Master's preferred). 8+ years in data and integration architecture. Mandatory hands-on HL7 v2.x and Mirth Connect experience. Healthcare or large-scale public-sector integration background preferred. Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines is a strong plus. PREFERRED TOOLS / SOFT SKILLS
