This role is ideal for a curious, hands-on software engineer who enjoys exploring new technologies, building prototypes, and translating innovative ideas into practical business solutions. While this position has a strong emphasis on quantum computing and advanced computing concepts, it also offers the prospect to work across AI, machine learning, agentic systems, cryptography, and other emerging technologies.

In This Role, You Will

Research and evaluate emerging technologies,



with a primary focus on quantum computing and quantum inspired solutions.
Design, develop, and test proof of concepts and prototypes to assess technical feasibility and business value.
Partner with architecture, engineering, product, security, and business teams to identify opportunities where emerging technologies can solve real business challenges.
Conduct experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings through clear technical recommendations and reusable documentation.
Apply sound software engineering practices, security principles, and engineering standards throughout the prototyping process.
Stay informed on emerging technology trends and help shape future innovation opportunities across Nationwide Technology.
