The British School, Recent Delhi seeks an EAL Assistant Teacher to teach students across whole school, with specialist

training and experience of teaching English to students for whom it is a second language. The role of EAL Assistant Teacher is

to help students apply concepts through classroom instruction and presentations. The EAL Assistant teacher will prepare

lessons, grade papers, manage the classroom, meet with parents, and work closely with other school staff. They will

also plan and implement effective assessment for/of learning which enhances outcomes for students and share

relevant feedback with students, parents and external institutions.

The teacher should be able to keep pace with the demands of a changing and evolving curriculum and also keep

abreast with 21st century pedagogy.



The teacher should be able to use and integrate technology in their teaching as

well as use IT in communicating with students, parents and colleagues.

The appointee must be a graduate in English with a teaching qualification/degree from a reputed institution with

certification in CELTA. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a leading international school is preferable.

Excellent spoken and written English is a must for this position.
