Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Open Die Forging Operator role based in Lucknow. The Open Die Forging Operator is responsible for setting up and operating open die forging equipment to produce metal parts according to specifications, including heating, shaping, and finishing forged components. Daily activities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and dies, monitoring furnace temperatures and press operations, and adjusting machine settings to achieve correct dimensions and material properties. The role involves inspecting parts for defects, documenting production data, following safety protocols, and coordinating with quality control and maintenance teams to ensure efficient and safe operation of forging equipment.



The operator is expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to standard operating procedures, and support continuous improvement efforts in the forging process.
Qualifications

- Practical experience in operating forging presses, hammers, or related metalworking machinery, preferably in open die forging.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and basic engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of metals and alloys, heating processes, and the impact of temperature and force on material properties.
- Strong awareness of industrial safety practices, including use of PPE and adherence to safety guidelines in high-temperature environments.
- Basic measurement and inspection skills using tools such as calipers, gauges, and measuring tapes to verify part dimensions.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle heavy materials and work in a production environment.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance staff.
- Prior experience in forging or heavy manufacturing is preferred; vocational or technical training in mechanical or manufacturing trades is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in office in Lucknow and follow shift schedules as required by production demands.
