Role Overview

Core objective of this role is to provide support on compliance matters for Olympus business throughout India and in the near future, compliance matters of OTCI. The selected candidate is expected to work closely with all internal stakeholders and the regional Compliance team in ensuring that compliance risks in India are managed appropriately and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a Compliance programme.





•Be a part of Olympus executive leadership team and provide strategic direction on Compliance and ethics.

•Drive Compliance awareness in the organization and provide guidance to colleagues.

•Provide day-to-day guidance and support on Compliance matters to all business units and functions.

•Support and coordinate employee compliance with the Global Code of Conduct and related Compliance policies.

•Coordinate and attend Compliance Committee meetings.

•Partner with Governance functions, HR, Finance and other divisions.

•Coordinate with APAC and Global Compliance Divisions and communicate progress to management.

•Ensure compliance with applicable Indian laws, regulations, industry codes, and company policies, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, competition law, data privacy, and healthcare compliance requirements.

•Oversee third-party compliance due diligence processes

•Advise business leaders on compliance risks associated with commercial initiatives, tenders, sponsorships, grants, donations, and healthcare professional engagements.

•Support internal and external audits and coordinate remediation plans for identified compliance gaps.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification:

Degree in law or related field.

Professional Experience:

At least 15 years experience in Compliance or a related field, including experience in a corporate organization.

Preferred: Skilled certification as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Professional Risk Manager or equivalent.
