Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IBM DataPower Lead responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IBM DataPower infrastructure. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on engineering to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance integration solutions across enterprise systems and applications. The candidate will collaborate across development, operations, and security teams to align integration architecture with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architecture Design:
- Design and architect IBM DataPower solutions to support enterprise integration, including APIs, web services, security gateways, and B2B solutions.
- Implementation & Configuration:
- Configure and manage DataPower components such as Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Services Proxy, XML Firewall, and API Gateway.
- Security & Compliance:
- Develop and manage security configurations using SSL/TLS, SAML, OAuth, LDAP, and PKI to ensure secure communication between systems.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor, fine-tune, and ensure high availability and reliability of DataPower services.
- Troubleshooting & Support:
- Provide Tier 3 support, diagnose complex issues, and resolve integration failures quickly and efficiently.
- Documentation:
- Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, best practices, and operational procedures.
- Collaboration:
- Work cross-functionally with application developers, DevOps, infrastructure,



and security teams to ensure solution alignment.
- Upgrades & Maintenance:
- Perform DataPower firmware upgrades, apply patches, and conduct routine maintenance to maintain compliance and performance.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Implement monitoring tools and generate performance and compliance reports for stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

- Deep expertise in IBM DataPower (MPGW, XML Gateway, Web Services Proxy).
- Robust knowledge of security protocols – SSL/TLS, OAuth, SAML, LDAP.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies: HTTP, XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, WSDL.
- Experience with API design and management using IBM APIC is required.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4i) is a plus.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience automating DataPower deployments and configurations via scripting.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and solution architecture principles.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, banking security standards).
- IBM DataPower certification is preferred but not mandatory.
