ETL Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

The ETL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using ETL processes, SQL, SSIS, SSMS, workable knowledge of Python, and Power BI. The role will support data extraction, transformation, loading, reporting for dashboard development to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely business insights.

The developer will work closely with business users, analysts, and technical teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into target databases or data warehouses.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database scripts to support reporting and data integration requirements.
- Build, manage, and troubleshoot SSIS packages for scheduled and automated data movement activities.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of delivered data.
- Apply workable knowledge of Python for basic data handling, file processing, automation support, and ETL-related scripting where required.
- Create and maintain data pipeline for Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets to support business reporting and analytics needs.




- Collaborate with business users and analysts to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions along with BI developer.
- Monitor ETL jobs, resolve data load failures, and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Support enhancements, performance tuning, and maintenance of existing ETL, SQL, SSIS, and Power BI solutions.
- Document technical designs, data mappings, process flows, and support procedures for developed solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of reliable data and reporting solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Strong hands-on experience in ETL development, SQL, SSIS, SSMS with workable knowledge of Python and Power BI.
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data integration, and reporting processes.
- Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
- Basic working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, automation, and support of ETL processes.
- Experience in designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining SSIS packages.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data validation skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process reliability.
- Positive communication skills and ability to work with business and technical teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience in ETL development, database development, or BI/reporting solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSMS, ETL processes, Power BI reporting, and workable knowledge of Python.
