Senior Healthcare Recruiter (Provider, Clinical & Practice Staffing)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Recruiter who understands how healthcare staffing works in real clinical
and practice environments, and who knows how to find qualified candidates through targeted research,
professional networks, specialty channels, direct outreach, and long-term pipeline development.
The right candidate should be able to recruit for physician and provider-level roles, practice administrators,
clinical managers, billing and revenue cycle positions, nurses, technicians, coordinators, front office staff,
call center staff, and other healthcare support roles. This person must be comfortable moving between
senior-level searches and high-volume clinical or administrative staffing needs.
We need someone who can research, search, outreach, follow up, create an extensive candidate pipeline and
build long-term candidate relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience recruiting across the full healthcare staffing spectrum, including provider-level, clinical
leadership, licensed clinical, allied health, revenue cycle, administrative, and patient-facing practice
support roles.
- Experience building relationships with universities, residency/fellowship programs, clinical training
programs, healthcare schools, alumni networks, professional associations, and military/veteran
transition talent channels where relevant.
- Strong working knowledge of specialty-specific healthcare recruiting portals and qualified
networks used to source physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, allied health professionals,
technicians, and practice support staff across different healthcare domains.
- Experience reviewing and verifying healthcare licenses, certifications, NPI information, board status,
expiration dates, and role-specific credential requirements for providers, nurses,
allied health staff,
and clinical support roles through appropriate primary-source verification channels.
- Experience supporting provider and clinical recruitment where work authorization, visa status,
foreign medical education, ECFMG status, sponsorship considerations, or employer-transfer
timelines may be relevant.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 8+ years of recruiting experience required.
- Minimum 4+ years of direct healthcare recruiting, clinical staffing, medical staffing, or provider
recruitment experience required. Strong understanding of healthcare staffing across outpatient practices, specialty clinics, surgery
centers, hospitals, urgent care, diagnostics, or similar healthcare environments.
- Experience creating sourcing strategies for different levels of roles, including physicians/providers,
managers, licensed clinical staff, allied health roles, and front-office or patient-facing positions.
- Strong technical sourcing skills, including Boolean search, Google/X-ray search, LinkedIn sourcing,
resume database search, competitor research, specialty keyword searches, and market mapping.
- Experience using ATS/CRM systems, LinkedIn, Indeed, resume databases, healthcare job boards,
recruiting trackers, spreadsheets, and structured candidate pipelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to professionally engage providers,
clinical staff, managers,
and healthcare support candidates.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a
related field preferred. Strong healthcare recruiting experience may be considered in place of a
degree.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Healthcare Recruiter will lead recruitment searches from intake through candidate presentation,
interview coordination, offer support, and follow-up. This role will require the recruiter to understand the
real hiring need behind each position, define the right candidate profile, evaluate market availability, and
create a practical search strategy for provider, leadership, clinical, revenue cycle, and patient-facing
healthcare roles. The recruiter will be responsible for building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines,
engaging qualified talent before roles become urgent, screening candidates with sound judgment, and
presenting only well-qualified candidates with clear reasoning. This person will be expected to take full
ownership of each assigned search, communicate progress clearly, identify market challenges early, and
adjust the recruiting strategy when needed to produce the right results.
Ideal Candidate Profile and Success Measures:
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare recruiter who understands that successful recruiting is not
simply about filling openings, but about identifying the right person for the right role with judgment,
urgency, and ownership.
Success in this role will be measured by the ability to build trusted candidate relationships, maintain strong
pipelines, present well-qualified candidates, communicate market challenges clearly, and support healthcare
staffing needs in a way that strengthens patient care, provider productivity, and daily operations.
