We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the medical billing process to ensure timely and accurate submission of claims, follow-up, and collections. This role requires solid knowledge of insurance guidelines, billing software, and medical terminology.Key Responsibilities

- Review and assign CPT and ICD-10 codes accurately based on provider documentation.
- Submit claims to insurance companies via clearinghouses (e.g., Office Ally, Availity).
- Perform AR follow-up and manage unpaid or denied claims.
- Analyze denials and rejections, identify trends, and implement corrective action.
- Collaborate with the clinical and support teams to resolve documentation or coding issues.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific guidelines.




- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer rules, coding updates, and billing procedures.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in US medical billing and coding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Experience with RCM tools/EMRs (e.g., HelloNote, Kareo, eClinicalWorks, Athena, AdvancedMD).
- Proficiency in working with clearinghouses, insurance portals, and denial resolution.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Experience in orthopedics, physical therapy, or behavioral health billing is a plus.
