Meta Ads & Creative Strategy Specialist
Department: Paid Media
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote
Working Hours: MondayFriday, 8:30 AM5:30 PM EST
Experience: 3+ Years Preferred
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Meta Ads & Creative Strategy Specialist who understands both the analytical and creative sides of performance marketing.
This is not a role for someone who simply launches campaigns, adjusts budgets, and reports on CPL.
We are looking for someone who can analyze campaign data, understand why a campaign or creative is performing the way it is, develop new creative strategies, provide clear direction to designers and video editors, and continuously improve campaigns based on both Meta data and actual client lead-quality feedback.
You will be responsible for managing Meta advertising across multiple client accounts while working closely with our Account Managers, creative team, and management.
The right candidate should be equally comfortable looking at campaign metrics and developing the next creative angle to test.
Meta Ads Campaign Management
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of Meta advertising campaigns.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and manage campaigns across Facebook and Instagram
- Select appropriate campaign objectives and conversion events
- Structure campaigns, ad sets, and ads appropriately
- Develop targeting and audience strategies
- Manage geographic targeting
- Allocate budgets across campaigns, audiences, and creatives
- Determine when budgets should be increased, decreased, or redistributed
- Monitor campaign pacing and spending
- Launch and manage creative tests
- Scale successful campaigns while maintaining lead quality
- Identify underperforming campaigns and determine appropriate corrective action
- Understand when a campaign needs optimization versus when it needs a completely new creative or strategic direction
Performance Analysis & Optimization
You must be comfortable analyzing Meta Ads data and monitoring key metrics such as CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL/CPA, conversion rates, frequency, reach, impressions, landing page views, video engagement, lead volume, budget utilization, audience performance, and creative performance.
More importantly, you should understand how these metrics connect to each other.
For example, you should be able to investigate whether a high CPL is being caused by weak creative engagement, expensive traffic, poor conversion rates, audience fatigue, the offer, landing-page performance, or another part of the funnel.
We want someone who can analyze the data and determine what should be changed next, rather than simply reporting that performance increased or decreased.
Creative Strategy
Creative strategy is a major part of this position.
You will be responsible for reviewing performance data and translating it into new creative directions.
This includes:
- Develop creative concepts and testing strategies
- Identify new messaging angles
- Analyze which hooks, offers, formats, and messages are performing
- Identify creative fatigue
- Determine when new creative is required
- Research competitors and market positioning
- Develop static and video advertising concepts
- Create multiple variations of successful concepts
- Build creative testing plans based on performance data
- Use previous campaign results to inform future creative decisions
Creative decisions should not be based solely on personal preference.
You should be able to explain:
What are we testing?
Why are we testing it?
What did the previous creative tell us?
What variable are we changing?
What does the data tell us to try next?
Video Scripts & Creative Direction
You will be expected to develop concepts and scripts for performance-focused video advertisements.
This may include:
- Developing video hooks
- Writing short-form advertising scripts
- Creating different hook variations for testing
- Developing pain-point and problem-aware angles
- Creating educational concepts
- Developing testimonial and social-proof concepts
- Creating offer-focused advertisements
- Giving direction on B-roll, text overlays, pacing, CTAs, and overall video structure
- Reviewing completed videos and providing actionable feedback to editors
You should understand how the first few seconds of a Meta video can affect whether someone continues watching and how the rest of the video moves that person toward taking action.
Static Ad Copy & Direction
You will also be responsible for helping develop converting static advertising concepts.
This includes:
- Writing headlines and supporting copy
- Developing messaging angles
- Creating clear CTAs
- Providing designers with creative briefs
- Giving direction on hierarchy and what information should be emphasized
- Creating variations for testing
- Reviewing finished designs before launch
- Providing specific feedback when a creative needs improvement
You do not necessarily need to personally design the creatives.
You need to be able to tell the creative team what needs to be created, why we are creating it, and what we are trying to accomplish with it.
Ad Copywriting
You should be comfortable writing performance-focused Meta ad copy, including:
- Primary text
- Headlines
- Descriptions
- Calls to action
- Short-form copy
- Long-form copy
- Pain-point-driven messaging
- Educational messaging
- Offer-driven messaging
- Retargeting copy
You should be capable of developing different messaging angles rather than simply rewriting the same advertisement five different ways.
Lead Quality & Client Feedback
We do not measure Meta performance solely based on how cheaply a campaign generates leads.
Our Account Managers regularly collect feedback from clients regarding the quality of the leads being generated.
You will be expected to use that feedback when making campaign decisions.
For example:
Meta Data Leads Generated Client Feedback Lead Quality Campaign Changes New Data
If a campaign is generating inexpensive leads but those leads are consistently irrelevant or unqualified, we do not consider that campaign successful.
You should be able to take feedback from Account Managers regarding:
- Lead relevance
- Lead quality
- Appointment or consultation rates
- Geographic quality
- Customer intent
- Common objections
- Poor-fit leads
- Conversion outcomes
You will then determine whether changes should be made to targeting, messaging, creative, forms, qualification questions, landing pages, offers, or campaign structure.
Budget Management
You will be responsible for allocating client advertising budgets appropriately.
This includes:
- Determining how budget should be distributed across campaigns
- Allocating budget between testing and proven campaigns
- Moving spend toward stronger-performing creatives
- Knowing when to stop spending on unsuccessful tests
- Scaling successful campaigns responsibly
- Monitoring daily and monthly pacing
- Avoiding unnecessary budget fragmentation
- Making budget decisions based on performance and business objectives
The goal is not simply to spend the client's monthly budget.
The goal is to allocate that budget where it has the strongest opportunity to generate meaningful business results.
Creative & Campaign Quality Assurance
Before campaigns go live, you will be responsible for reviewing:
- Campaign settings
- Conversion objectives
- Budgets
- Geographic targeting
- Audience settings
- Ad copy
- Static creatives
- Video creatives
- Forms
- Landing-page destinations
- Tracking
- CTAs
- Mobile experience
Attention to detail is extremely important when managing multiple client accounts.
Collaboration
You will work closely with:
- Account Managers
- Graphic Designers
- Video Editors
- Copywriters
- Website/Landing Page Teams
- Management
You must be able to clearly communicate what you need from each team.
Creative feedback should be specific and actionable rather than simply saying that something "doesn't look valuable" or "needs to convert better."
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- 3+ years of hands-on Meta Ads experience preferred
- Experience managing multiple Meta advertising accounts
- Strong Meta Ads Manager knowledge
- Strong understanding of lead-generation campaigns
- Experience analyzing campaign and creative performance data
- Strong understanding of performance metrics and optimization
- Experience managing and allocating advertising budgets
- Strong creative strategy skills
- Experience developing static advertising concepts
- Experience developing video advertising concepts
- Ability to write advertising scripts and hooks
- Strong advertising copywriting skills
- Ability to interpret client lead-quality feedback and adjust campaigns accordingly
- Understanding of landing pages and conversion funnels
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Ability to independently identify problems and propose solutions
Fluent professional English is required, both written and spoken.
You must be able to clearly communicate strategies, creative direction, performance findings, and recommendations to Account Managers, creative teams, and management.
What We're NOT Looking For
We are not looking for someone whose Meta Ads process is:
Launch Campaign Check CPL Increase/Decrease Budget Send Report
We are looking for someone who thinks about the complete performance cycle:
Research Strategy Creative Launch Data Lead Quality Analysis New Creative Optimization Scale
The successful candidate understands that Meta advertising is increasingly driven by the relationship between creative, messaging, data, audience signals, offer, and conversion experience.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means being able to take both quantitative and qualitative information and turn it into better advertising decisions.
You should be able to look at an account and answer:
What is working?
What isn't working?
Why is it happening?
What are clients saying about the leads?
Which creative angles are producing the strongest results?
What should we stop doing?
What should we test next?
Where should we allocate the budget?
How can we improve lead quality, not just lead volume?
Ultimately, your responsibility is to continuously turn data + creative strategy + client feedback into stronger Meta advertising performance and better business outcomes for our clients.
