Job Summary: The Business Development head will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients, expanding service offerings to existing clients, and leading a team of business development professionals. The role requires a strong understanding of credit rating services, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks. The individual will be expected to contribute to strategic initiatives and ensure execution of targets in alignment with organizational goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Identify and acquire new clients for various Grading & rating products (corporate, SME, infrastructure, etc.).

• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients, ensuring consistent repeat business and upselling opportunities.

• Monitor market trends, regulatory updates (SEBI, RBI, etc.), and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.

• Effectively present and communicate the benefits and applicability of the agencys credit rating products and services to prospects.

• Coordinate with internal analytical and compliance teams to ensure smooth execution of mandates and client onboarding.

• Contribute to overall revenue targets through effective sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.

• Prepare business performance reports, maintain sales pipeline and share regular updates with leadership.

• Lead, guide, and manage a team of business development executives. • Allocate targets, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback. • Mentor team members to improve product knowledge, client engagement, and negotiation skills.





• Organize regular training sessions and ensure team alignment with business goals. Represent the agency at industry forums, seminars, client meetings, and conferences to build visibility and brand recall.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field (MBA/CA preferred).

6-15 years of experience in business development within financial services, preferably in credit rating, banking, and NBFC sectors.

• Robust understanding of financial analysis, credit rating methodology, and regulatory environment.

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams.

• Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.

• Goal-oriented with strong planning and organizational abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred: • Knowledge of SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory frameworks.

• Experience dealing with corporates, SMEs, government bodies, or PSUs.

• Prior experience in Banking & Finance, Financial Services, Fintech, Consulting, Analytics or B2C sectors.

• MBA/PGDM with Marketing and finance as major with Good communication skills.

• Willing to travel and have confidence to interact with management of Industries/Banks.
