Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP PPDS Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP PP/DS and Embedded PP/DS (ePPDS). The candidate should have experience in finite planning, sequencing, block planning, capacity modeling, tank planning, and integration with SAP IBP and S/4HANA.

Must-Have Skills

- 8+ years of relevant SAP PPDS experience
- Hands-on experience with SAP PP/DS or Embedded PP/DS (ePPDS)
- Strong knowledge of finite planning, pegging, sequencing, block planning, and capacity modeling
- Experience with PPDS heuristics and optimizer
- Hands-on experience with PP/DS Planning Board for detailed scheduling and sequencing
- Robust experience in master data – Products, Locations, Resources, Tanks, and PDS
- Experience configuring tank resources, capacities, minimum/maximum fill levels, cleaning and changeover times
- Experience with IBP integration with ePPDS
- Experience supporting process order integration with S/4HANA production execution
- Ability to analyze and resolve planning alerts, capacity overloads, and sequencing conflicts
- Experience in production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Good-to-Have Skills





- Experience in process and discrete manufacturing
- Knowledge of tank planning and tank utilization
- Experience with setup times, cleaning cycles, and batch constraints
- Experience with unit testing, SIT, UAT, and data validation
- Experience preparing functional documentation
- Experience conducting planner enablement / knowledge-transfer sessions
- Ability to work with global delivery and business teams

Key Responsibilities

- Configure and support SAP PP/DS and Embedded PP/DS solutions.
- Maintain and validate PPDS master data, including Products, Locations, Resources, Tanks, and PDS.
- Configure and support block planning and tank planning requirements.
- Execute and analyze PPDS heuristics and optimizer runs for finite scheduling.
- Perform detailed scheduling and sequencing using the PP/DS Planning Board.
- Support integration of process orders with S/4HANA production execution.
- Support IBP–ePPDS integration and resolve related issues.
- Analyze and resolve planning alerts, capacity overloads, and sequencing conflicts.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, unit testing, and data validation activities.
- Handle production support issues and perform RCA and corrective actions.
- Prepare functional documentation and support planner enablement sessions.
