A well-established Singapore-based company is looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join its Finance & Accounts team in Chennai.

The selected candidate will work closely with and assist the Finance Manager in handling financial accounting, cash flow management, statutory compliance and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparation and review of monthly and annual financial accounts
- Maintain and review General Ledger and accounting records
- Prepare Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Cash Flow Statement
- Monitor daily and monthly cash flow positions
- Assist in bank reconciliations and treasury-related activities
- Review accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for statutory and internal audits
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and other professional advisors
- Assist in statutory, tax and regulatory compliance matters
- Ensure timely filing of applicable statutory returns and payments
- Review provisions, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations




- Support preparation of financial statements and audit schedules
- Maintain proper accounting controls and documentation
- Assist the Finance Manager in other finance and accounting matters as required

Candidate Profile

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Fresh CA or 12 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and taxation
- Solid Excel skills
- Exposure to ERP/accounting systems will be an advantage
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Accurate, disciplined and detail-oriented

The role provides an opportunity for a young Chartered Accountant to gain strong exposure to financial accounting, cash flow management, statutory compliance and international corporate finance practices within a Singapore-based organisation.

I would use the title “Chartered Accountant – Finance & Accounts” rather than “Business Finance” or “Finance Analyst,” because this better reflects the actual role.
