Qualifications & Experience

- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a robust focus on distributed systems and backend architecture.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Expert-level proficiency in Apache Kafka, including Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Flink.
- Solid experience with Apache Airflow or comparable workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect or Dagster.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, Go, or Scala. Polyglot engineering experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with API gateway patterns, service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd, and modern observability stacks including OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce,



or commercetools and their integration patterns.
- Experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) tools such as Debezium for event sourcing from relational systems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience designing and implementing Data Mesh architecture, including data product thinking, domain ownership, and federated computational governance.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, or commercetools and their integration patterns.
- Experience with CDC tools such as Debezium for event sourcing from relational systems.
- Knowledge of dbt, Apache Iceberg, or Delta Lake for building reliable analytical data layers.
- Contributions to open-source projects in the data and streaming ecosystem.
- Exposure to MLOps platforms such as MLflow, SageMaker, or Vertex AI and deploying models into production pipelines.
