Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Power BI professional to lead enterprise BI solutions and drive best practices across reporting, semantic modelling, and data governance. The role involves designing scalable Power BI solutions, managing the Power BI platform, and integrating with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, and SQL-based platforms. The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver trusted, high-performance analytics solutions. Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, semantic modelling, Power BI Service, and Microsoft Fabric is required.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, dashboards, and self-service BI frameworks.
- Design and govern Power BI workspaces, capacities, deployment pipelines, access controls, and platform standards.
- Develop and optimise complex DAX measures, data models, reports, dashboards, and paginated reports for enterprise use cases.
- Build and maintain reusable semantic models using star/snowflake schemas, incremental refresh, aggregations, RLS/OLS, and performance optimisation techniques.
- Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, Dataverse, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
- Implement DirectLake solutions with Microsoft Fabric and optimise semantic models for large-scale analytics.
- Establish monitoring, governance, usage analytics,



documentation, and automation using PowerShell and Power BI REST APIs.
- Mentor BI developers and analysts, conduct technical reviews, and collaborate with data engineering, finance, operations, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in Power BI development, with strong experience in a senior/lead technical capacity.
- Expert-level knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), data visualisation, report development, and performance optimisation.
- Solid experience in semantic modelling, including star/snowflake schemas, VertiPaq optimisation, incremental refresh, aggregations, calculation groups, and large-scale datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration, Premium/Fabric capacity, workspace governance, deployment pipelines, RLS/OLS, and platform management.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and DirectLake, including OneLake, Lakehouses, Fabric workspaces, and capacity considerations.
- Proficiency with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, VertiPaq Analyser, and best-practice approaches for model and DAX optimisation.
- Experience integrating Power BI with Azure Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, APIs, and other enterprise data sources, along with PowerShell/REST API automation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; PL-300 and DP-600 certifications are preferred.
