Role Summary:
The Sales Branch Accountant will be responsible for managing the branch's financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, financial compliance, and timely reporting. The role will involve closely collaborating with sales teams and the corporate finance department to maintain operational efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Branch Accounting and Financial Management
- Maintain and manage the day-to-day branch accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions, including sales, payments, expenses, and inventory adjustments.
- Prepare and submit periodic financial statements, reports, and projections to the Regional Finance Head.
- Process Travel Allowance claim
1. Sales Order Management
- Oversee the sales invoicing process to ensure accuracy and compliance with pricing policies.
- Verify and process discounts, schemes, and incentives for customers.
1. Collections and Credit Control
- Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and ensure timely collection.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and manage credit limits in line with company policies.
1. Inventory and Cost Management
- Collaborate with the branch team to ensure accurate inventory records and timely stock reconciliations.
- Review and analyze cost data to support pricing and operational decisions.
1. Taxation and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other local taxation requirements.
- Prepare and support audit documentation for both internal and external audits.
1. MIS and Reporting
- Generate periodic MIS reports related to branch performance, sales, expenses and attendance
- Provide actionable insights to the branch leadership team based on financial data analysis.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
- Solid understanding of sales accounting, GST, and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA-Finance).
