We are looking for a Data Lead to own data architecture and solutioning for AWS-based data platforms. This role is responsible for designing how data flows from ingestion through transformation to consumption, using up-to-date transformation and orchestration tooling (such as dbt, Airflow, or equivalent), and for making the underlying technology choices.

This is equal parts hands-on data architecture and stakeholder-facing solutioning: you'll design end-to-end data solutions, defend those decisions in architecture reviews and proposals, and translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete, defensible technical designs.

- Own end-to-end data Solutioning selecting the right services and patterns for each use case
- Lead solutioning and architecture discussions with business stakeholders and clients, translating requirements into technical designs
- Define data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and pipeline strategies from internal and external source systems
- Design and govern the data transformation and orchestration layer using tools such as dbt,



Airflow, or equivalent
- Define data governance, security, lineage, and access control patterns across environments
- Partner with application, analytics, and AI/ML teams on how they consume and query data
- Produce and present architecture diagrams, trade-off analyses, and technical proposals to leadership and clients
- Identify data gaps against business requirements and recommend sourcing or integration strategies
- Guide cost optimization and performance tuning across the data platform
- Mentor and provide technical direction to data engineers

Good To Have:

- Experience working on Proposals.

Experience
- 8–10 years in data engineering including at least 3+ years in a solutioning, architectureMerc
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering data architectures on AWS in production
- Experience presenting architecture decisions directly to clients or senior stakeholders
- Cross-industry experience is a plus
