Role & responsibilities

- Monitor and operate Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and fire protection systems.
- Conduct routine inspection of fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels, pumps, and smoke detectors.
- Ensure all fire safety equipment is functional and maintained as per statutory requirements.
- Attend fire alarms and emergency situations promptly and take appropriate action.
- Maintain daily logbooks and records of fire system testing and inspections.
- Perform periodic testing of fire pumps, jockey pumps, diesel engines, and associated equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and external agencies for fire system repairs and servicing.
- Conduct fire drills and assist in emergency evacuation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, site SOPs, and EHS standards.
- Report any fire hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment deficiencies to management.
