Reporting To: Principal

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for primary classes (Classes I-V) as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching-learning materials (TLMs), assignments, and classroom activities.
- Teach subjects such as English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies/EVS, Hindi, and General Awareness , as applicable.
- Use activity-based, experiential, and child-centred teaching methodologies.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, and other activities to monitor students learning progress.
- Identify children who require additional academic support and provide remedial and individualized teaching .
- Encourage children s creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Manage classroom discipline using positive and child-friendly approaches.
- Monitor students attendance, academic performance, behaviour, and overall development.
- Maintain accurate academic records, assessment reports, attendance registers, and other documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding children s progress and areas requiring support.
- Promote awareness among students regarding personal hygiene, health, cleanliness, safety, values, and responsible behaviour .
- Encourage participation in co-curricular activities, sports, art, cultural programmes, competitions, and community activities.




- Work closely with other teachers, project staff, and management to improve students learning outcomes.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, teacher-training programmes, workshops and school events.
- Support programmes and initiatives related to child development, education, inclusion, and community engagement .
- Follow organizational policies relating to child safeguarding, child protection, safety, and professional conduct .
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the Principal, Centre Head, or Project Coordinator.

Educational Qualifications

- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
- D.El.Ed./Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- CTET/TET qualification will be an added advantage, wherever applicable.
- Candidates should have good proficiency in English and/or the local language as required.

Experience

- 1-2 years of teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.
- Experience working in an NGO, community school, low-income community, or social development programme will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in teaching may also be considered.
