About Lousso Designs

Lousso Designs is a growing U.S.-based custom furniture, upholstery and commercial interiors company serving designers, hospitality groups, commercial clients and enterprise customers.

Our work includes custom furniture, banquettes, upholstery, tables, millwork, window treatments and FF&E-related; solutions.

We are building the operating structure necessary to scale from a growing custom workroom into a highly organized commercial furniture company.

We are looking for a Project Manager who has already worked inside a larger, successful furniture or commercial-interiors organization and understands what excellent project execution looks like.

This is an important distinction:

We do not only want someone who can follow our process. We want someone who can bring proven processes, discipline and ideas from a solid previous employer into Lousso.

Ideal previous employers

We are especially interested in candidates who have successfully worked in project management, project coordination, implementation, operations or client delivery at organizations such as:

Featherlite
Interio by Godrej / Godrej Interio
Haworth
Steelcase
HNI
MillerKnoll
Herman Miller
Knoll
Nilkamal

We are also highly interested in candidates from other established:

commercial furniture manufacturers, workplace-furniture companies, hospitality furniture manufacturers, FF&E; companies, interior fit-out firms, architectural millwork companies or furniture manufacturers operating at significant scale.

Experience at a company doing $10M+ USD annually or operating at comparable national/multinational scale is strongly preferred.

What we hope you bring from your previous company

We will specifically ask you to bring ideas from places you have worked before.

We want to understand:

- How did your previous company prevent projects from getting lost?
- How were projects handed from Sales to Project Management?
- How were production-ready projects identified?
- Who controlled promised completion dates?
- How was production scheduling managed?
- How were material delays tracked?
- How were clients proactively updated?
- How were installations planned?
- How were quality issues handled?
- How were punch lists closed?
- How were outstanding balances managed?
- What dashboards, KPIs or meetings actually worked?
- What would you immediately improve if you joined a growing $2M furniture company?

We value candidates who can say:

“At my previous company, this is how we handled that problem.”The role

After Sales closes a project,

you become the primary project owner and day-to-day operational contact for the customer.

You coordinate the project across:

Sales Handoff → Measurements → Design → Approvals → Materials → Production Ready → Production → Installation → Punch List → Final Payment → Customer Satisfaction

You do not personally perform every task.

You are responsible for making sure every necessary task happens, has an owner, has a deadline and does not disappear.

Project ownership

Every project you manage should always have:

- current stage
- next action
- action owner
- due date
- requested deadline
- confirmed deadline
- blocker/risk status
- payment status
- installation status

If a project stops moving, you are expected to discover why and drive the next action.

Client communication

You will be the client's primary operational contact.

Responsibilities include:

- kickoff communication
- weekly or appropriate proactive status updates
- approval chasing
- timeline communication
- complaint handling
- delay communication
- installation coordination
- punch-list communication
- final satisfaction follow-up

Our standard is simple:

Clients should not have to chase Lousso to know what is happening.

Working with Sales

Our salespeople stay commercially involved so they can grow the relationship and sell future projects.

Sales owns:

new opportunities, account growth, proposals and selling

You own:

project execution and communication after the sale

You will participate in a structured Sales → PM handoff so promises and client expectations are documented before execution begins.

Measurement coordination

You own making sure measurements are completed when necessary.

You may:

- request architectural drawings or site dimensions
- obtain information from the architect, designer or GC
- coordinate remote measurement
- schedule a field technician
- coordinate a complex measure with our on-site team
- collect photos and site information

You usually will not perform measurements yourself.

Design coordination

Our Design Lead owns technical accuracy and work orders.

You make sure Design receives complete information and that projects do not become stuck.

You will track:

- shop drawings
- work orders
- approvals
- revisions
- selections
- missing dimensions
- technical questions

Materials

You will maintain visibility into:

- COM and fabric
- hardware
- finishes
- wood/materials
- vendor lead times
- missing items

- purchasing blockers

You do not necessarily perform every administrative task yourself.

You own knowing whether the project is ready or blocked.

Production Ready Gate

Before a project enters production, you will help verify that required information is complete:

- measurements
- drawings
- work orders
- client approvals
- materials
- specifications
- payment requirements
- target dates

Incomplete jobs should not quietly reach production.

Working with Operations

Our on-site Director of Operations, Ron, owns:

- master production schedule
- production capacity
- installation capacity
- operational priorities
- recovery plans
- final release readiness

You provide him with project readiness, requested dates, client constraints and priority information.

You do not independently promise production dates.

Once Operations confirms the schedule, you own communicating and managing around it.

Installation coordination

You coordinate:

- client availability
- site contact
- access
- elevators/loading docks
- COIs
- building restrictions
- final payment status
- installation confirmation
- punch lists

Operations owns the physical crew and field capacity.

Problems and timeline complaints

If a client has a timeline complaint, you do not pass them to another department.

You own the client conversation.

Internally, you work with Operations to determine:

- actual status
- cause
- recovery options
- realistic timeline
- escalation required

Then you communicate the plan back to the client.

Collections and closeout

You help make sure deposits, progress payments and final balances are not forgotten.

A project is only fully complete when:

delivery/install is complete
punch is complete
final balance is collected
client satisfaction is confirmed

Required profile

We prefer candidates with:

- 3–7 years of project-management experience
- furniture, commercial interiors, workplace, FF&E;, manufacturing or fit-out experience
- experience managing multiple simultaneous projects
- experience coordinating between design, procurement, production, logistics and installation
- strong client-facing English
- excellent written English
- strong organizational systems
- experience handling deadlines and escalations
- experience using professional project-management systems
- experience inside a larger, structured organization

This role is not

This is not a:

- Virtual Assistant role
- Software Product Manager role
- Data-entry role
- Passive task tracker
- Customer service representative
- Role where you simply forward messages between departments

We want someone with project ownership mentality.

Pay: ₹761.00 - ₹952.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
