Key Roles & Responsibility:

Spare Parts Inventory Management

Maintain a proper stock of spare parts, consumables, and accessories. Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of quick-moving and critical parts.

Parts Receiving & Verification

Receive spare parts from suppliers or the central warehouse and verify part numbers, quantities, specifications, and physical condition against purchase documents.

Parts Issue & Workshop Support

Issue required spare parts to service advisors and technicians against approved job cards/repair orders (RO) and ensure timely availability of parts for vehicle repairs.

Parts Identification & Catalog Management

Identify correct spare parts using Ashok Leyland parts catalogs, part numbers, and vehicle specifications. Ensure the correct part is supplied for each vehicle.

Stock Control & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of parts receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and stock balances. Ensure proper system/DMS updates for all transactions.

Parts Ordering & Replenishment

Monitor stock movement and prepare parts requirements based on consumption, pending jobs, and minimum stock levels. Coordinate with suppliers or the concerned department for timely procurement.

Workshop Coordination

Coordinate closely with service advisors, technicians, and workshop supervisors to minimize vehicle repair delays caused by spare parts shortages.

Warranty, Returns & Parts Claims

Handle defective, damaged,



and warranty-related parts returns as per company procedures. Maintain proper documentation for parts replacement and warranty claims.

Stock Verification & Audit

Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile physical inventory with system records. Identify shortages, excess stock, and slow-moving and non-moving parts.

Housekeeping & Parts Storage

Ensure spare parts are properly labelled, organized, and stored safely. Maintain cleanliness, proper bin locations, and easy identification of parts.

Customer & Counter Support

Assist customers and workshop personnel in identifying and supplying the correct spare parts. Provide information regarding availability and expected delivery of parts.

Required Qualification: Diploma / ITI / Degree – Automobile / Mechanical / Any Relevant Qualification

Experience: 2–5 years of experience in the automobile spare parts / commercial vehicle service industry

Preferred: Experience in Ashok Leyland / Commercial Vehicle Dealerships or Service Centers
