Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP SuccessFactors RBP / Authorization Consultant

with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Role-Based Permissions (RBP), authorization

management, and security configuration within SAP SuccessFactors.

The consultant will be responsible for reviewing and revamping the existing Roles &

Authorization (R&A;) matrix, identifying and resolving Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts,

and translating the approved R&A; framework into the SuccessFactors system.

Key Responsibilities

 Review and assess the existing SAP SuccessFactors Role-Based Permissions (RBP)

configuration and authorization structure.

 Analyze the existing Roles & Authorization matrix and identify gaps, redundancies,

excessive access, and conflicting permissions.

 Review existing access against Segregation of Duties (SoD) requirements and

identify potential conflicts.

 Redesign and revamp the existing R&A; matrix based on business requirements,

security principles, and agreed SoD controls.

 Work closely with business, HR, IT, and security stakeholders to validate and finalize

the revised authorization matrix.

 Define appropriate roles, permissions, groups, and access levels in SAP

SuccessFactors.

 Map the newly approved Roles & Authorization matrix to the SuccessFactors

system.

 Configure and maintain Role-Based Permissions (RBP), including permission roles,

permission groups, target populations, and associated access controls.

 Ensure appropriate separation of duties and least-privilege access across





SuccessFactors. Identify and remediate inappropriate or overlapping access.

 Support testing and validation of the redesigned authorization model.

 Prepare documentation for the revised R&A; matrix, role definitions, permission

mappings, and SoD controls.

 Support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and deployment of the

revised authorization structure.

 Provide recommendations for improving SuccessFactors security governance and

ongoing access management.

 Support access review and authorization-related audits, where required.

Required Skills & Experience

 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors.

 Strong expertise in SuccessFactors Role-Based Permissions (RBP).

 Good understanding of SuccessFactors authorization and security architecture.

 Proven experience in designing, reviewing, and maintaining Roles & Authorization

matrices.

 Robust understanding of Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles and access conflict

identification/remediation.

 Experience in mapping business roles and authorization requirements to

SuccessFactors RBP.

 Experience with permission roles, permission groups, target populations, and role

assignments.

 Ability to analyze existing authorization models and propose optimized role

structures.





 Strong understanding of access governance, least-privilege principles, and

authorization controls.

 Good experience in stakeholder discussions and translating business requirements

into system security configurations.

 Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills Experience working on SuccessFactors security/RBP redesign or remediation

projects.

 Experience with SoD analysis, role rationalization, and access governance.

 Knowledge of SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting,

Performance & Goals, Compensation, Learning, or other SF modules.

 Experience supporting internal/external security or compliance audits.

 Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors implementation and change-management

processes.

Key Deliverables

The consultant will be expected to deliver:

1. Assessment of the existing R&A; matrix.

2. Identification of SoD conflicts and authorization gaps.

3. Proposed/revised Roles & Authorization matrix.

4. Stakeholder-approved R&A; matrix.

5. Mapping of approved roles and permissions to SuccessFactors RBP.

6. Configuration and implementation of the revised authorization model.

7. Testing and validation of the new authorization structure.

8. Complete documentation of roles, permissions, groups, target populations, and

SoD controls.

Pay: ₹1,042,267.51 - ₹2,041,521.84 per year
