Key Roles & Responsibility:

Mechanical Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults in commercial vehicles, including engine, transmission, clutch, braking, steering, suspension and related systems.

Vehicle Inspection & Diagnosis

Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical problems, determine root causes and recommend appropriate repair procedures.

Engine Repair & Maintenance

Carry out engine inspection, servicing, repair and replacement of mechanical components as per manufacturer specifications.

Transmission & Clutch System

Diagnose and repair clutch, gearbox, transmission and related mechanical systems. Ensure proper adjustment and operation after repairs.

Brake, Steering & Suspension Systems

Inspect, diagnose and repair braking, steering, suspension and wheel-related systems to ensure vehicle safety and performance.

Technical Support to Junior Technicians

Guide and support junior technicians in complex mechanical diagnosis, repair procedures and troubleshooting.

Quality & First-Time-Right Repairs

Ensure accurate diagnosis and proper repair procedures to achieve First-Time-Right (FTR) and minimize repeat complaints.





Final Inspection & Vehicle Testing

Conduct final mechanical inspection and road testing where required to verify that all repairs have been completed correctly before vehicle delivery.

Job Card & Technical Documentation

Record diagnostic findings, repair activities, replaced components and technical observations accurately in the job card/Repair Order (RO).

Workshop Safety & Tool Management

Follow workshop safety procedures and ensure proper handling and use of tools, lifting equipment and workshop machinery.

Required Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Automobile / Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Automobile / Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Service Industry

Preferred: Experience in Commercial Vehicle Dealerships or Service Centres
