Job Description for Special Educator – RCI Registered

Location: The Quantium School, Mokila

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and assess students who require additional learning and developmental support.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on students’ specific needs.
- Provide individualized and small-group intervention sessions.
- Support students with learning difficulties, developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other special educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers to implement appropriate classroom accommodations and modifications.
- Monitor and document students’ academic, behavioral, social, and developmental progress.
- Conduct regular observations and maintain appropriate student records and intervention reports.
- Coordinate with parents and communicate students’ progress, challenges, and intervention plans.
- Collaborate with school counselors, psychologists, therapists, and other professionals when required.
- Support teachers in implementing inclusive classroom strategies.




- Create and adapt learning materials and activities according to individual student needs.
- Participate in parent meetings, case discussions, workshops, and school events when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and follow the school’s child-safety and safeguarding policies.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education / Rehabilitation / Psychology / a related field.
- Valid RCI registration/license is mandatory.
- Relevant experience working with children in a school, inclusive education, special education, or therapy setting.
- Strong understanding of learning disabilities, developmental delays, Autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, counselors, and therapists.
- Compassionate, patient, and child-centered approach.
