An Industrial Engineer is responsible for improving production efficiency, reducing production time/cost, and ensuring smooth workflow in garment/textile manufacturing.
Typical responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze SAM (Standard Allowed Minute).
- Conduct time and motion studies.
- Improve production-line efficiency.
- Set production targets and monitor performance.
- Identify and reduce bottlenecks in production.
- Prepare line balancing plans.
- Analyze manpower and machine requirements.
- Track production efficiency, productivity and capacity.
- Coordinate with Production, Merchandising, Quality and PPC teams.
- Prepare daily/weekly IE reports and production data.
Common requirements:
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.Tech in Industrial/Mechanical/Textile Engineering or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Excel is very helpful.
- Understanding of garment production processes.
- Knowledge of SAM, SMV, line balancing and capacity planning.
Experience: 3-4 year experience
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
