Job Summary

Works as a ServiceNow Developer delivering configuration, catalog development, workflow automation and enhancements across ITSM (and related) modules. Handles incidents, service requests and minor-to-medium enhancements in a steady-state / AMS or project delivery model, partnering with leads, business analysts and stakeholders to build reliable, upgrade-safe solutions and to ensure timely, quality ticket closure.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and customize ServiceNow ITSM modules – Incident, Problem, Change, Request and Service Catalog.

Develop and maintain catalog items, record producers, workflows and Flow Designer flows.

Write and debug client-side and server-side scripts – Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes and ACLs using JavaScript / Glide API.

Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST / SOAP web services and IntegrationHub.

Support CMDB updates, data imports, transform maps and data quality corrections.

Create and maintain reports, dashboards and notifications for operational visibility.

Manage update sets, promote changes across instances and support platform upgrades and skipped-record reviews.

Perform unit testing / ATF validation and prepare technical documentation, SOPs and knowledge articles.

Provide L2/L3 development and enhancement support; troubleshoot issues and escalate complex items with clear root-cause analysis.

Follow Agile delivery practices and ITIL processes throughout the development lifecycle.

Skill Requirements





Around 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development / administration experience.

Strong on ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog).

Proficient in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies/Actions, ACLs).

Hands-on with Flow Designer / Workflow, Service Catalog and record producer development.

Experience with REST / SOAP integrations, Import Sets and Transform Maps.

Valuable understanding of ServiceNow data model, CMDB and update-set management.

Working knowledge of ITIL processes and Agile delivery.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Other Requirements

Exposure to additional modules such as HRSD, ITOM (Discovery / Service Mapping) or CSM.

Experience with Service Portal / widget development (AngularJS, HTML, CSS).

Familiarity with IntegrationHub, MID Server and ATF (Automated Test Framework).

Experience working in AMS / steady-state offshore delivery aligned to global business hours.

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required / strongly preferred.

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – preferred.

ITIL Foundation certification – an added advantage.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related engineering discipline.
