Job Description

We are looking for an Asst. Manager – Laboratory who will be the overall in-charge for all the operations carried in the NABL lab and responsible for managing Valuable Laboratory Practices (GLP’s) and setting the direction of the QC Laboratory operations (Microbiology) in a cGMP environment. Main responsibility includes overseeing all testing protocols, implementing and validating laboratory procedures, managing staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance and to assure the reliability of all data generated by the Quality Control Laboratory. Also shall possess knowledge in handling NABL audits

Responsibilities

· Adhere to Lab testing procedures as per sampling plan devised for Meat

· Supervise day-to-day operations of the lab

· Provide active leadership and development of all lab technicians and staff

· Supervision, training and development of reporting QC Microbiology staff, and provide guidance on best practices for all staff.

· Ensure proper testing is done and results are recorded with due diligence and the plant and product hygiene performance must be indicated on daily basis.

· Responsible for overseeing safety and security of laboratory facilities including maintaining current knowledge of all relevant protocols, regulations, standards,



and safety procedures as well as developing and maintaining standard operating procedures;

· Oversee inventory management such as selecting, ordering, purchasing, storing, and allocating of

laboratory equipment, supplies, media etc.,

· Responsible for all aspects of the labs where they work, including equipment, employees, supplies, inventory, software and documentation.

· Management adherence to the budget for the Microbiology Laboratory

· Represent QC laboratory in a technical expert capacity on microbiological method qualifications, special studies and validations when required

· Ensure to follow industry standards and safety regulations for handling and disposing of test samples.

· Have sufficient knowledge in food safety standards (ISO/HACCP) and practices followed in food industry.

Requirement

· M.Sc./B.Sc degree in Microbiology.

· Minimum of 5 – 7 years of work experience in a Food Testing Lab

· Knowledge on various Microbial testing procedures (ISO/BAM), QC systems operations, microbiological method validation etc.,.

Experience in handling NABL accredited lab operations and audits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
