Job Summary

SPD Constructions Ltd. is looking for an experienced Finishing Engineer to supervise and execute finishing activities for high-rise building construction projects in Odisha.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all finishing works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and safety requirements. The role involves close coordination with subcontractors, QA/QC, MEP, planning, and project execution teams to achieve timely and high-quality project delivery.

Candidates with hands-on experience in high-rise residential/commercial construction will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and execute day-to-day finishing and architectural works at the project site.
- Ensure finishing activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and project schedules.
- Plan and monitor activities including:
- Internal and external plastering
- Wall and floor tiling
- Flooring and skirting
- Putty and painting
- False ceiling
- Doors, windows, and glazing
- Marble and granite works
- Waterproofing and sealant works
- Sanitary and other architectural fixtures
- Common area and external finishing works
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, Site Engineers, QA/QC, MEP, Planning,



Stores, and Project Management teams for smooth execution.
- Monitor daily progress and ensure finishing activities are completed within the planned project schedule and milestones.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure workmanship complies with approved standards and specifications.
- Identify defects, snags, and deviations and ensure timely rectification and closure.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections, approvals, and closure of quality observations.
- Ensure proper coordination between finishing and MEP services to avoid clashes, rework, and delays.
- Verify material requirements and coordinate with the Stores/Procurement team for timely availability of finishing materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage, rework, and material damage.
- Ensure proper protection of completed works during subsequent construction activities.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, finishing details, BOQs, and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors regarding manpower deployment, productivity, work sequence, and completion targets.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports to the reporting manager.
- Track work progress against planned targets and highlight delays or constraints.




- Ensure proper site safety, housekeeping, material storage, and work-area management.
- Support the project team during snagging, de-snagging, inspection, and handover activities.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in finishing and architectural works.
- Candidates with experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale building construction will be preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in managing finishing subcontractors and site execution will be an advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of building finishing materials, construction methods, and workmanship standards.
- Good understanding of architectural drawings, BOQs, specifications, and finishing details.
- Practical knowledge of high-rise building construction and finishing sequences.
- Solid coordination and subcontractor management skills.
- Good understanding of quality control and snag rectification.
- Ability to monitor manpower, productivity, material consumption, and work progress.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and site reporting.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under project deadlines and manage multiple finishing activities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of site safety and housekeeping practices.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
