We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee equipment uptime, utility operations, and engineering compliance at our WHO-GMP certified manufacturing plant. In this role, you will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and ensure smooth operation of plant machinery and critical utilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Preventive Maintenance: Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all production, packing, and utility equipment to minimise operational disruptions.
- Breakdown Handling: Lead rapid troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance on the shop floor to minimise MTTR and enhance MTBF across manufacturing lines.
- Utility Operations: Monitor and maintain critical plant utilities including HVAC/AHU systems, cleanrooms, HEPA filters, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, and RO/DM water systems.
- Equipment Qualification: Assist in engineering documentation, calibration schedules, and validation protocols including IQ/OQ/PQ for new and modified equipment.
- Spares Management: Maintain critical engineering spares inventory, track consumption, and coordinate timely procurement to prevent equipment downtime.
- GMP Documentation: Maintain engineering logbooks, breakdown reports, and maintenance records in strict compliance with cGMP and GDP standards.
- Safety & Audits: Ensure adherence to engineering safety protocols,



standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain audit-readiness during customer and regulatory inspections.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate closely with Production, QA, and Stores to schedule maintenance shutdowns, changeover support, and facility upgrades.

Requirements

- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on plant maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- Skills:
- Hands-on expertise with pharma machinery (granulation, compression, coating, blister packing) and HVAC / utility systems.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, MTTR/MTBF, and breakdown troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with WHO-GMP, Schedule M, and GDP documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in basic MS Excel for maintenance tracking and reporting.
