Job Description – IPD Billing Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced IPD Billing Executive to manage inpatient billing operations, ensure accurate billing and provide smooth coordination with patients, attendants and various hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle IPD billing and discharge billing processes accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and verify patient bills as per hospital services, packages and applicable tariffs.
- Ensure accurate posting of medicines, investigations, procedures, consumables and other hospital services.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Pharmacy, Diagnostics, TPA, Insurance and other departments for billing-related requirements.
- Handle billing queries from patients and attendants professionally.
- Coordinate with TPA/Insurance teams for cashless and reimbursement cases.
- Verify and reconcile patient accounts before final discharge.
- Ensure proper documentation and billing entries in the HMIS/Hospital Billing Software.




- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with concerned departments.
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of patient and financial information.

Required Skills

- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in hospital billing software/HMIS.
- Good coordination and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet billing deadlines.

Mandatory Requirement

Prior experience in Hospital / Healthcare Billing is mandatory.
Candidates without relevant hospital/healthcare billing experience will not be considered.

Education

Graduate in any discipline. Candidates with relevant experience in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management or Medical Billing will be preferred.
