We are looking for an experienced and responsible CT Scan Department In-Charge to manage the day-to-day operations of the CT Scan Department at a Civil Hospital. The candidate will be responsible for staff management, patient workflow, CT operations, coordination with doctors and hospital authorities, quality control, documentation, and ensuring smooth and effective departmental functioning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Department Operations

- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the CT Scan Department.
- Ensure smooth patient flow and minimize waiting time.
- Ensure CT examinations are performed according to prescribed protocols.
- Coordinate with hospital staff, doctors, radiologists, technicians, and patients.
- Ensure proper utilization and availability of the CT machine.

2. Staff Management

- Supervise CT technicians, support staff, and other departmental employees.
- Prepare and manage staff duty rosters and shift schedules.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, dress code, and work performance.
- Allocate duties and ensure adequate staffing during all shifts.
- Conduct regular briefings and address staff-related issues.

3. Patient Management

- Ensure patients are attended to properly and professionally.
- Monitor patient waiting time and ensure timely scanning.
- Ensure proper patient identification and verification before examination.
- Handle patient complaints and coordinate with concerned staff for resolution.
- Give special attention to emergency and priority cases.

4. CT Scan & Safety

- Ensure compliance with CT protocols and radiation-safety procedures.




- Ensure proper patient preparation, particularly for contrast studies.
- Ensure contrast-related safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor image quality and coordinate with radiologists whenever required.
- Ensure all CT images are properly uploaded to PACS/RIS for reporting.
- Immediately report equipment or technical issues to the concerned authority/vendor.

5. Documentation & MIS

- Maintain daily records of CT scans, patient details, emergency cases, and pending reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly departmental reports.
- Monitor scan volumes, reporting status, TAT, and departmental performance.
- Maintain records related to machine downtime, maintenance, complaints, and incidents.
- Maintain proper documentation as required by the hospital and management.

6. Coordination & Administration

- Coordinate with Civil Hospital administration and concerned departments.
- Coordinate with radiologists regarding reporting and critical cases.
- Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs and hospital policies.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of the CT area.
- Ensure availability of required consumables and inform management before stock shortages.




- Escalate operational, technical, staffing, or patient-related issues to management promptly.

Qualification

- B.Sc. / Diploma in Radiology & Imaging Technology / Medical Imaging Technology or equivalent.
- Relevant professional certification/registration as applicable.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CT Scan/Radiology operations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or departmental in-charge role will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CT Scan procedures and protocols.
- Excellent staff and patient management skills.
- Good knowledge of PACS/RIS and computer applications.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and report preparation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage emergency situations and high patient volume.
- Good understanding of radiation safety and quality-control procedures.

Preferred Candidate

The ideal candidate should be responsible, disciplined, technically knowledgeable, and capable of independently managing the CT Scan Department while maintaining patient safety, staff discipline, operational efficiency, and coordination with Civil Hospital authorities.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per hour
