Ophthalmology OT Technician

Position: OT Technician

Department: Ophthalmology – Operation Theatre

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare the OT, surgical instruments, equipment and consumables before each procedure.

* Assist surgeons and nursing staff during ophthalmic surgeries.

* Handle and maintain ophthalmic surgical instruments and equipment.

* Perform proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments.

* Prepare surgical trays and consumables according to the procedure.

* Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection-control protocols.

* Ensure availability of implants, medicines and OT consumables.

* Maintain OT registers, surgery checklists and sterilization records.

* Assist in patient preparation and protected transfer before and after surgery.

* Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, CSSD, pharmacy and other departments.

* Maintain OT readiness, hygiene and safety standards.

* Follow hospital SOPs and quality standards.

Preferred Qualification:

Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent.

Experience:

Experience in Ophthalmology OT is preferred, especially in cataract and other eye surgeries.

Pay: ₹10,159.67 - ₹26,482.48 per month
