The Building Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations within a commercial building or portfolio of buildings, ensuring the safety and security of occupants, assets, and property while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Emergency Response & Crisis Management
Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios (fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters, security threats)
Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services
Lead emergency response drills and training exercises for building staff and tenants
Serve as primary point of contact during security incidents and emergencies
Technology & Systems Management
Oversee security technology systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection,



and alarm systems
Ensure all security equipment is properly maintained, tested, and functioning optimally
Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and system upgrades
Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all security-related incidents and activities
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with all applicable security regulations, building codes, and industry standards
Prepare regular security reports for building management and stakeholders
Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as primary security liaison for building tenants and management
Conduct security awareness training for building occupants
Communicate security policies and procedures to all stakeholders
Address tenant concerns and requests related to security matters
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with security management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Crisis management and decision-making capabilities under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Customer service orientation with professional demeanor
