Role Overview

We are hiring a Junior Accountant to support our UK accounting and taxation operations. You will work directly on UK client files, learning the end-to-end process of bookkeeping, year-end accounts, VAT returns, payroll, and self-assessment tax returns under the guidance of senior accountants.

This is a hands-on learning role ideal for someone who wants to specialise in UK accounting standards (FRS 102, FRS 105) and UK compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Bookkeeping for UK clients using Xero, QuickBooks, and FreeAgent
- Bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledger management
- Preparing VAT returns (quarterly and annual) in line with UK requirements
- Assisting in the preparation of year-end company accounts and corporation tax returns (CT600)
- Supporting self-assessment tax return filings for directors, sole traders, and individuals
- Processing payroll runs (weekly and monthly) and submission
- Maintaining accurate client records and trackers on internal systems and Pipedrive CRM




- Communicating with senior accountants and UK-based managers on file progress
- Filing confirmation statements and basic Companies House submissions
- Following internal SOPs and quality checklists for every job

Required Skills & Qualifications

- B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, ACCA (any level), or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (double-entry, P&L;, balance sheet)
- Good written and spoken English is a MUST.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple files at once
- Willingness to learn UK tax law
- Quick learner with a problem-solving mindset

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

- Prior experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or FreeAgent
- Exposure to UK accounting or any international outsourcing workplace
- Knowledge of UK accounting and Taxation
