WE ARE HIRING – COMMIS 1 (INDIAN)

Position: Commis 1 – Indian Veg & Non-Veg

Industry: Premium Fine Dining Restaurant

Location: Surat, Gujarat

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Commis 1 – Indian to join our premium fine-dining kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine and be committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes as per standardized recipes.

* Assist the Chef/Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.

* Ensure consistent taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.

* Handle preparation of gravies, marinades, curries, kebabs, tandoor preparations, and other Indian dishes.

* Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and mise en place.

* Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs.

* Ensure minimum wastage and efficient use of ingredients.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.

* Coordinate with other kitchen sections during busy service.





* Support senior chefs in menu preparation and new dish trials.

Candidate Requirements

* 1–3 years of experience in a reputed restaurant, hotel, or fine-dining establishment.

* Strong knowledge of Indian Veg & Non-Veg cuisine.

* Experience in a premium/fine-dining restaurant will be preferred.

* Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

* Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service.

* Team player with a disciplined and positive attitude.

* Hotel Management/Culinary qualification preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience.
