Job Summary

The New Product Development (NPD) Manager is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing new products from concept to commercial launch, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that new products meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct market research and identify current product opportunities.

- Develop product concepts based on customer needs, competitor analysis, and industry trends.

- Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, production, quality, and sales teams during product development.

- Prepare product specifications, costing, BOM (Bill of Materials), and launch plans.

- Manage prototype development, testing, validation, and product improvement.

- Work with vendors and suppliers for new materials and components.

- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety norms.

- Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time product launches.

- Analyze product performance after launch and recommend improvements.





- Maintain product documentation and development records.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- MBA / PGDM in Marketing or Operations is preferred.

Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in product development, R&D;, or engineering.

- Experience in appliances, furniture, home décor, consumer electronics, or manufacturing industry preferred.

Required Skills

- Product development and project management.

- Market research and competitor analysis.

- Product costing and vendor coordination.

- CAD/design understanding (preferred).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.

- Number of successful product launches.

- Time-to-market for new products.

- Product development cost adherence.

- Gross margin of new products.

- Product quality and defect rate.

- Sales contribution from newly launched products.

Salary-negotiable

Pay: ₹26,479.08 - ₹50,000.00 per month
