Job Purpose :

The Electrical Manager will be responsible for managing the complete electrical and automation function of the plant, including electrical maintenance, machine automation, new installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, energy management, safety, and project execution. The position will ensure high equipment availability, minimum electrical breakdowns, safe operation of electrical systems, effective preventive maintenance, and timely completion of electrical and automation projects.

Key Responsibilities :

A. Electrical Maintenance

- Plan, supervise and control all electrical maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of plant electrical equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor electrical breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and repeated breakdowns.
- Reduce machine downtime through systematic maintenance practices.
- Maintain electrical maintenance records, history and equipment documentation.
- Ensure adequate availability of critical electrical spares.

B. Electrical Systems

- Manage LT/HT electrical distribution systems.
- Handle transformers, DG sets, UPS, MCC, PCC and distribution panels.
- Manage motors, VFDs, soft starters and electrical protection systems.
- Ensure proper cable selection, routing, termination and maintenance.
- Manage earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Monitor electrical load, power quality and energy consumption.
- Coordinate electrical inspections, testing and statutory requirements.

C. Automation & Controls

- Manage industrial automation and machine control systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD and control systems.
- Coordinate PLC/automation modifications and machine upgrades.




- Ensure proper functioning of sensors, actuators and interlocking systems.
- Manage industrial communication/networking systems where applicable.
- Develop and maintain electrical and control schematics.
- Support production and maintenance teams in automation-related issues.

D. Projects & New Installations

- Plan and execute electrical projects from concept to commissioning.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Prepare electrical BOMs and equipment specifications.
- Coordinate with electrical panel manufacturers, vendors and contractors.
- Supervise electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
- Coordinate machine installation and electrical integration.
- Ensure projects are completed within approved cost, quality and schedule.
- Identify opportunities for machine automation and electrical upgrades.

E. Team Management

- Lead and manage the electrical and automation team.
- Allocate daily maintenance and project activities.
- Plan manpower requirements and shift deployment.
- Monitor team performance and productivity.
- Train team members on electrical maintenance, automation and safety.
- Develop technical competency within the electrical team.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Production, Design, Purchase and Quality departments.

F. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures.
- Implement and monitor LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.




- Conduct electrical safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure proper PPE and safe working practices.
- Maintain electrical safety documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS/IEC standards and statutory requirements.
- Investigate electrical incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure secure operation and maintenance of electrical equipment.

G. Energy Management

- Monitor plant electrical energy consumption.
- Identify opportunities for energy saving.
- Optimize motor, VFD and electrical system efficiency.
- Monitor power factor and electrical losses.
- Implement energy-saving projects.
- Track energy consumption and report improvement initiatives to management.

H. Vendor & Contractor Management

- Identify and evaluate electrical/automation vendors.
- Coordinate with contractors for installation and maintenance activities.
- Review technical quotations and specifications.
- Support commercial evaluation and technical negotiations.
- Monitor contractor performance and work quality.
- Ensure timely supply of critical electrical components and spares.

I. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare monthly electrical maintenance reports.
- Monitor breakdown, preventive maintenance and equipment availability data.
- Maintain electrical drawings, manuals and technical documents.
- Prepare project progress reports.
- Maintain electrical equipment history.
- Prepare annual maintenance budgets and CAPEX requirements.
- Maintain records of electrical inspections and testing.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
