Job Title Chemist – Wet Zone (Shift)

Department - Quality Control

Reports To - Wet Zone Lab In-charge / QA-QC Manager

Shift - Shift Duty

Location - Plant / Wet Zone

2. Job Purpose - To carry out timely and accurate testing of Wet Zone process samples, monitor slurry/process quality during the shift, maintain records and SAP entries, and promptly communicate any variation from the required process parameters.3. Key Responsibilities

- Perform testing of NCFG 01–08 samples as per the Quality Plan and defined frequency.
- Conduct EMS sample testing.
- Conduct Filter Press sample testing.
- Conduct Sun Drying sample testing.
- Perform routine calibration / verification of laboratory instruments.
- Record all results accurately in laboratory registers / formats.
- Complete SAP entry and QC documentation within the required time.
- Immediately report abnormal results, quality variations and OOS / suspected OOS results to the Lab In-charge.
- Take shift-level QC decisions within the defined authority.




- Support and conduct Wet Zone process audits.
- Monitor quality parameters and communicate process deviations to Production.
- Maintain proper sample identification and traceability.
- Maintain laboratory 5S, cleanliness and housekeeping.
- Ensure safe operation of laboratory equipment.
- Follow approved SOPs, Quality Plan, ISO procedures and safety requirements.
- Support investigations and re-testing when required.
- Perform other QC activities assigned by the Lab In-charge / QA-QC Manager.
