We are looking for a Senior SEO, AEO & GEO Specialist with strong hands-on experience in traditional SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI-driven search.

This is not an entry-level or mid-level SEO role.

You will initially take ownership of several SEO projects, including accounts where rankings and organic performance have declined. We want someone who can diagnose problems, create strategy, implement improvements, and take responsibility for results.

The right candidate should understand how to improve visibility not only in traditional Google search, but also across:

- Google AI Overviews
- Google AI Mode
- ChatGPT
- Claude.ai
- Gemini
- Other AI-powered search experiences

If successful and consistent, our goal is for this role to develop into a SEO/AEO/GEO leadership or managerial position within approximately 12–24 months, helping us grow our existing team, processes, and client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Own SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy across multiple client accounts
- Audit declining accounts and develop recovery strategies
- Build and improve SEO SOPs, frameworks, and best practices
- Lead advanced technical SEO initiatives, including:
- Crawlability and indexation
- Site architecture
- Core Web Vitals
- Canonicalization
- Internal linking
- Schema / structured data
- Performance optimization
- Develop content-led SEO strategies around:
- Search intent
- Keyword mapping
- Topic clustering
- Topical authority
- Entity optimization
- Content gaps
- AEO/GEO content structure
- Build ethical off-page, authority, citation, and brand-mention strategies




- Collaborate with developers and content teams
- Analyze performance using GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and similar tools
- Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates, AI Overviews, AI Mode, and changes in generative search

AEO & GEO Expertise

This is a major part of the position.

You should understand how brands and websites can improve their chances of being surfaced, referenced, cited, or recommended by AI-powered search platforms.

You should have practical knowledge of:

- ChatGPT and Gemini search visibility
- Entity and semantic SEO

We are not looking for someone who believes AEO/GEO simply means adding FAQs or using AI to create more content.

Local SEO Experience

A large portion of our clients are U.S.-based local service businesses, so strong local SEO experience is important.

You should have experience improving rankings for:

- City-specific keywords
- Service-specific keywords
- Service + city searches
- Location and service pages
- Google Business Profiles
- Competitive local markets
- Multi-location businesses





We especially value candidates who can demonstrate proven results with local service businesses in the United States.

Requirements

- 5–10+ years of hands-on SEO experience
- Significant SEO experience with websites targeting the United States
- Strong practical knowledge of AEO and GEO
- Advanced technical SEO knowledge
- Strong content and local SEO experience
- Experience managing multiple websites or client accounts
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to think strategically rather than follow a checklist
- Comfortable taking ownership of both wins and failures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with developers, writers, management, and clients

Experience managing or leading an SEO team is preferred, but not mandatory.
