Job Summary :

ABODE School is looking for a creative, proactive, and skilled Mass Communication & Visual Media Coordinator to manage the organisation's communication, photography, videography, and digital content. The role involves capturing and documenting important events, creating engaging visual content, and supporting internal and external communication across various platforms. We are looking for someone who brings a modern perspective, with a contemporary visual style, an instinct for how content works on today's platforms, and fresh ideas rather than the standard school album approach.

Key Responsibilities:

- Photograph and film school events, programmes, workshops, celebrations, and student achievements.
- Document classroom teaching, learning processes, and our methodology.
- Coordinate with teachers, staff, and management to plan coverage in advance and gather information.
- Edit photos and videos to a qualified standard for digital and print use.
- Produce reels, short-form videos, event highlights, interviews, and promotional films. Develop content for social media, the school website, blogs, newsletters, brochures, and presentations.
- Contribute creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, captions, and copy.
- Ensure all visual and written output reflects the school's brand identity, tone, and standards.
- Keep current with social media trends, shooting techniques, and editing tools.





Requirements :

- Degree or diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Visual Communication, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- A portfolio and showreel are mandatory for consideration.
- Strong photography and videography skills, including in low light and indoor conditions.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Canva, or equivalent.
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to write captions, blogs, newsletters, and short copy.
- A research mindset, with the curiosity to look up references, study what other institutions are doing, and bring informed ideas to the table.
- Ability to manage several assignments at once and meet deadlines without supervision.

Additional Skills :

- Prior experience in a school, corporate, media, or creative environment.
- Comfort working with children and an instinct for capturing candid, natural moments.
- Motion graphics and graphic design skills.

Key Deliverables :

- High-quality photo and video coverage of every scheduled school event.
- Timely editing and delivery of photos and videos after each event.
- Regular social media posts, reels, blogs, and digital content.
- Event highlight films and promotional content.
