Our areas of focus include Indian financial markets, quantitative market research, derivatives analytics, risk analysis, volatility analysis, and digital-asset intelligence.

We are building our technology and research capabilities from the ground up and are looking for a motivated AI & Quantitative Research Intern to become part of our early technical team.

About the Role

As an AI & Quantitative Research Intern, you will work on real-world projects involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, and Quantitative Financial Research.

You will help research financial-market data, develop statistical and machine-learning models, conduct experiments, evaluate results, and contribute to the development of OBLIM's market-intelligence systems.

This is a hands-on development and research internship. You will be expected to write code, analyze data, conduct experiments, document findings, and contribute to actual company projects.

You will work closely with the founder and technical team and have the opportunity to work on projects from the research stage through implementation and testing.

Key ResponsibilitiesAI & Machine Learning

- Develop and test machine-learning models for financial and business data.
- Research and implement suitable AI/ML algorithms for different problems.
- Train, evaluate, and improve machine-learning models.
- Perform model validation and error analysis.
- Compare different algorithms and approaches.
- Research practical applications of AI and machine learning in financial-market intelligence.

Quantitative & Statistical Research

- Analyze financial-market datasets using statistical methods.
- Apply probability, statistics, regression, correlation, hypothesis testing, and other quantitative techniques.
- Identify patterns, relationships, trends, and anomalies in market data.
- Conduct quantitative experiments and document findings.
- Develop statistical indicators and quantitative signals.
- Research market behavior across different market conditions.

Financial-Market Data Analysis

You may work with datasets related to:

- NIFTY 50
- BANK NIFTY
- Indian equities
- Futures
- Options
- Open Interest
- Trading volume
- Volatility
- India VIX
- Market breadth
- Bitcoin and digital assets
- Financial news and market information

You do not need to be an expert in financial markets when joining. However, you must be willing to learn financial-market concepts and apply analytical methods to them.

Time-Series Analysis

- Analyze historical financial time-series data.




- Calculate and study returns, volatility, momentum, trends, and drawdowns.
- Research time-series patterns and market regimes.
- Experiment with forecasting and classification techniques.
- Evaluate whether historical patterns have genuine predictive value.

Feature Engineering

- Transform raw financial data into useful analytical features.
- Create statistical and quantitative features for machine-learning models.
- Analyze feature importance and relationships.
- Test whether features provide meaningful predictive information.

Model Evaluation & Backtesting

- Design experiments to evaluate quantitative models.
- Perform historical backtesting of research ideas.
- Measure model performance using appropriate statistical metrics.
- Analyze false positives, false negatives, and model errors.
- Identify overfitting and data-leakage problems.
- Maintain proper separation between training and testing data.
- Document assumptions, limitations, and research results.

Generative AI & LLM Research

Depending on project requirements, you may also work with:

- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Generative AI
- Prompt engineering
- Embeddings
- RAG systems
- AI agents
- Financial-document analysis
- Financial-news analysis
- LLM APIs
- Open-source AI models

The objective is to identify practical ways AI can improve financial-market research and intelligence.

Python Development

You will use Python extensively for:

- Data processing
- Statistical analysis
- Machine learning
- Research experiments
- Visualization
- Model development
- Automation

You will be expected to write clean, understandable, and maintainable code.

Required SkillsMust Have

- Good knowledge of Python.
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning.
- Solid interest in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
- Understanding of statistics and probability.
- Familiarity with NumPy and Pandas.
- Basic knowledge of Scikit-learn.
- Understanding of data preprocessing.
- Basic understanding of model evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn independently.

Candidates will be expected to understand that:

- Backtesting must be performed carefully.
- Data leakage and overfitting must be actively avoided.
- Research conclusions must be supported by evidence.

The focus of this internship is research, analytics, technology, and financial intelligence, not making guaranteed trading recommendations.
