Job Purpose

To safely connect, monitor, and disconnect electric buses at depot charging stations, ensuring buses are fully charged and dispatch-ready as per schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Charging Operations

- Connect/disconnect charging guns/pantographs to buses as per parking/charging schedule.
- Ensure buses are parked correctly at designated charging bays before connection.
- Monitor charging status, State of Charge (SoC), and charger display for faults/errors during the charging cycle.

Fault Reporting

- Report charger malfunctions, cable damage, or connector faults to Technical Supervisor immediately.
- Escalate any abnormal charging behaviour (overheating, error codes) without delay.

Documentation & Coordination

- Maintain charging logs (bus number, charging start/end time, SoC achieved) in register/ERP.
- Coordinate with Duty Officer/dispatch team on charging completion status for scheduling.

Safety & Compliance

- Follow high-voltage safety protocols strictly while handling charging equipment.




- Use appropriate PPE (insulated gloves, safety footwear) at all times near charging infrastructure.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the charging yard.

- On-time charging completion for scheduled dispatch
- Zero charging-related safety incidents
- Accurate charging log maintenance
- Prompt fault reporting

Qualifications & Experience

- 10th pass or 10+2 pass
- 0-1 years' experience in EV charging/electrical operations preferred.

Skills Required

- Alertness and attention to detail.
- Basic record-keeping.
- Willingness to work under supervision and follow safety instructions strictly.
- Working knowledge of Dogri/Hindi/Urdu practical for coordinating with ground staff.

Working Conditions

- Charging depot environment at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu;
- Rotational shifts including night duty.
- Outdoor exposure and work near high-voltage equipment (with PPE).

Pay: ₹8,600.00 - ₹10,400.00 per month
