Role Summary

We are looking for an Embedded Systems Verification & Validation Engineer to test and validate control software for construction equipment ECUs (compactors, rollers, pavers). You will work closely with Model-Based Design teams to verify simulation models and generated code against system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute V&V; test plans for embedded ECU software (SIL/MIL/PIL/HIL)
- Verify Simulink/Stateflow models against functional requirements before code generation
- Develop and maintain test cases traceable to SysML/MBSE system models
- Perform requirements-based testing, regression testing, and fault injection on embedded controllers
- Support HIL bench setup and automate test execution using scripts (Python/MATLAB)
- Document test results,



defects, and coverage reports; support root cause analysis
- Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure requirement-to-test traceability (DOORS/Polarion/Jama)

Required Skills

- Embedded C/C++, CAN/J1939 protocols, AUTOSAR basics
- MATLAB/Simulink for MBD verification (Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop)
- Working knowledge of MBSE concepts and SysML (Cameo/Rhapsody/Enterprise Architect)
- Experience with HIL test rigs (dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or similar)
- Requirements management tools (DOORS NG, Polarion, Jama Connect)
- Understanding of V-model development and ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 basics

Nice to Have

- Exposure to off-highway/construction equipment domain (Bomag, CNH, Deere, Caterpillar, Volvo CE)
- Scripting for test automation (Python, TCL)
- ASPICE awareness
