About the Role

VMotiv8 Education is hiring experienced SAT mentors to coach high-achieving students (grades 9–12) on the Digital SAT. You’ll run weekly 60-minute online sessions, drive measurable score improvements (average 280+ points), and guide students targeting Ivy League and Top 20 admissions.linkedin+1

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct a full-length diagnostic test on day one and create a personalized session plan tied to each student’s target score and test date.
- Teach both Reading & Writing and Math sections of the Digital SAT, including grammar rules, inference, algebra, data analysis, geometry, and strategic use of Desmos.masterclassspace+1
- Run weekly error analysis: categorize misses by content and cause (knowledge gap, misread, careless, timing) and adjust plans accordingly.
- Coach test-day execution: pacing, module strategy, guessing discipline, and anxiety management.
- Assign and review practice on VMotiv8’s test prep platform; track scores and report progress to families at milestones.
- Log session notes, homework completion, and next steps after every session; contribute to monthly progress reports.

Requirements

- Personal SAT score of 1500+ (or ACT 34+) within the last 10 years; score report available on request.prepscholar+1
- 2+ years of SAT/ACT tutoring experience with documented student score improvements.
- Deep familiarity with Digital SAT format: adaptive modules, Bluebook app, current scoring model.masterclassspace
- Ability to teach both sections clearly and confidently.
- Structured, data-driven teaching style; comfortable tracking progress in spreadsheets or platforms.
- Reliable high-speed internet, quiet workspace, and willingness to turn camera on during sessions.
- Comfortable with background checks (required for working with minors).

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ACT and PSAT/NMSQT, including National Merit strategy.




- Experience supporting students with extended-time or other testing accommodations.
- Background in test development, curriculum design, or test prep companies.
- Experience working with first-generation or immigrant families navigating US admissions.
