Job Summary

Responsible for working out accurate quantities, BOQs, and Raise Material requests for Electrical projects. Supports project planning & scheduling during execution of project. Support execution team in commissioning of systems.

Responsibilities
1. Estimation Responsibilities

- Review Approved / GFC drawings, specifications, and tender documents for Electrical systems (HT/LT power distribution, DG sets, transformers, panels, cabling, earthing & lightning protection, lighting, fire alarm and ELV systems).
- Take off quantities and prepare itemized BOQs.
- Cross-verification with BOQ, tender documents and specifications.
- Identification of material gaps and variation quantities.
- Prepare Material Request (MR) for the Quantities taken considering the approved TDS.
- Coordinate with procurement department for vendor and timely material Delivery.
- Prepare detailed variation sheet including, Original PO reference, Revised quantities, Technical justification and share with Sales Team for claiming from customer (1st Variation).
- While Raising MR validate consumption norms.
- Coordination with planning & procurement teams.

2. Project Planning & Scheduling

- Prepare Project schedules (P6/MSP) with WBS in coordination with Project manager / Project In-charge.
- Develop resource loading, manpower histograms & time-phased budgets based on estimate.
- Identifying Subcontractor / Vendor and Negotiating with them for project execution in coordination with Project Manager / In-charge.

3. Commissioning and Testing

- Preparing scripts and commissioning of electrical equipment (panels, transformers, DG sets, cabling, earthing, lighting & ELV systems).




- Commissioning/ Testing Documents as per client's requirement and share with them. (L1 to L5)
- Compiling commissioning reports and documented as per customer requirement and share the same with Customer / Consultant / PMC etc. for handing over of Project.
- Coordinate with site Team for smooth handing over of project.

Skills

- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems (HT/LT distribution, transformers, DG sets, panels, cabling, earthing & lightning protection, lighting, fire alarm & ELV systems).
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and costing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valuable coordination and communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- MSP / P6
