The School Manager is responsible for the overall administrative, operational and coordination activities of the school for children with special needs. The role involves ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the school, coordinating teachers, therapists, support staff and parents, maintaining discipline and safety, and supporting the effective delivery of educational and rehabilitation services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the special school.
- Coordinate with the Principal, special educators, therapists, teachers, attendants and support staff.
- Ensure that children receive appropriate educational, therapeutic and care services.
- oordinate with parents/guardians regarding children's attendance, activities, progress and requirements.
- Maintain student records, staff records, attendance registers and other administrative documents.
- Ensure a safe, clean, hygienic and child-friendly environment within the school.
- Monitor the safety and security of children during school hours, activities and transportation.
- Coordinate with therapists such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists, Psychologists and other professionals.
- Assist the Principal/Centre Head in implementing school policies and procedures.
- Organize meetings, events, awareness programmes, celebrations and special activities.
- Monitor classrooms, therapy areas and other facilities to ensure proper functioning.
- Address routine administrative issues and escalate responsible matters to the Principal/Management.
- Coordinate school transportation, meals, housekeeping and other support services where applicable.
- Monitor the availability of teaching materials, therapy equipment, stationery and other requirements.
- Ensure proper communication between management, staff and parents.
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other child-support programmes as directed by qualified professionals.
- Prepare periodic reports on attendance, activities, staff performance and school operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of children's, parents' and staff members' information.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal/Centre Head/Management.
- Qualification
- Graduate degree in any relevant discipline.
- Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in school administration, special education, rehabilitation, childcare or a related field.
- Experience working with children with special needs will be preferred.
- Experience in staff coordination and school/centre administration is desirable.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 per month
